What we believe

Portal Interactive makes consumer AI. We believe it should be fun, social and human.

Make AI fun

Not everything has to be useful. We think AI should make you laugh before it makes you faster. We mean the kind of fun you can hear from the next room.

Make AI social

Anything good is best passed around. That is why AI is more fun with other people. We want AI you can bring to your people, never AI you leave them for.

Make AI human

Nothing beats the person beside you. Friends should be people. We don’t make AI friends. We make things to do with yours, and a reason to look up at each other.

For your own time

Most AI is made for work. It writes the email and gives you an hour back. Consumer AI is for that hour, and the people you spend it with.

A detail of a painting of a garden party: five men lean in under the leaves, laughing, as their glasses meet. Krøyer, 1888. Hip, Hip, Hurrah! Artists’ Party, Skagen, a painting by Peder Severin Krøyer

Say hello

We like company. A question, an idea or a plain hello will do.

Where the pictures come from

Every picture on this site is a real work of art, made between 1865 and 1920. We chose them because they show the time people keep for each other, which is what we think AI is for. The museums that own them have released these images for anyone to use. We cropped and resized them, and retouched nothing. No museum named here has any part in this site.
